With the holidays right around the corner, the Rotary Club of Dawson Creek is hosting a Community Christmas Dinner on Sunday.
Rotary Club member Alex Reschny said a turkey dinner is on the menu.
“The dinner is Rotary’s way of giving back to the community,” he said.
Reschny said tickets can be purchased at the Dawson Creek Co-op, adding that free tickets are also available at the Nawican Friendship Centre for those in need.
He said close to 450 people are expected, and there’s less than 100 tickets left.
All the money collected will go to Step Up ‘N’ Ride, which is offering free rides to the dinner.
The event takes place at the Notre Dame gymnasium. Doors open at 4 pm, and turkey will be served at 5 pm.
