The Rotary Club of Dawson Creek is hosting its annual Fishing Derby on Sunday at Swan Lake Provincial Park.
The derby begins at 11 am, with a second round at 1 pm. This year, more than $600 in prizes will be awarded.
Prizes will be given for the first fish caught, the most fish caught, and the largest fish of the derby.
Entry costs $50 per hole for each round. Free registrations for youth are also available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Rotary member Alex Reschny says the derby is a great family event. He says families can also try fishing without participating in the competition.
Participants must bring their fishing license, or can get one here.
