A well-known house in Dawson Creek is once again being secured by police officers. Investigators were back at the residence on 107th Avenue on Wednesday.
Police were seen holding the property until the North District Major Crime Unit arrived from Prince George. Neighbours told CJDC TV News that officers were going door-to-door, asking if anyone heard or may have seen something.
Linklater died earlier this month inside the home, but his death is not considered to be suspicious.
A source close to Linklater said they called police. They said there have been a number of attempts to try and break into the home since he passed away.
CJDC TV News asked the Dawson Creek RCMP for comment. They said they were unable to comment as Major Crimes is now in charge of the investigation.
It is not clear at this point if attempted break and enters were the sole reason for the Major Crime Unit to return to residence.

Linklater was questioned but not charged in connection with the death of Emily Odgen earlier this year
Just after Ogden’s body was discovered om April, RCMP investigators wearing white jumpsuits were seen combing Linklater’s residence, looking for evidence. Black plastic sheets had been put over the windows preventing the public from seeing inside. The home was one of four scenes around the Dawson Creek area that police had secured.
Linklater was also the victim of an alleged violent home invasion in February of 2024. Ogden, Adam Dahr and a minor were arrested by police in connection with the home invasion, that sent Linklater to hospital.
