The Fort St. John RCMP continue to investigate a series of incidents involving barbershops in the city.
On July 24, CJDC-TV shared video footage showing potential evidence of arson at Golden Hands Barbershop.
The video showed a white flat-deck truck leaving the parking lot of the Golden Hands Barbershop, with the building burning in the background. The vehicle was then seen heading to another location, The Barbershop FSJ, where damage was caused. These two incidents happened in the early morning hours of July 12.
The RCMP is now investigating a third incident that happened seven days before, at approximately 2:20 in the morning on July 5. They say a suspect was observed on surveillance footage breaking into another barbershop near the intersection of 96A Street and 93 Avenue in Fort St. John.

Mounties have also confirmed the fire at Golden Hands Barbershop was the result of arson. They believe the same people have vandalized The Barbershop FSJ, because the white truck was seen at both scenes that night.
At the time, the owners of Golden Hands Barbershop posted pictures of a broken window and fire debris on social media, saying, “we were violated.”
The Fort St John RCMP continue to investigate and are asking anyone who has information regarding any of these incidents, the suspect or the vehicle to contact the Fort St John RCMP at 250-787-8100.
