The Peace River Regional District (PRRD) says it is actively searching for a new water source for the Rose Prairie Water Station, one of five bulk water stations in Electoral Area B.
At the end of November 2025, the PRRD said a fourth well was successfully drilled within the vicinity of the station.
The well exceeded flow rate expectations and the water sample tests supported moving forward with further testing.
The pump tests on the fourth well installation were completed in January 2026 on schedule.
The collected water samples have been sent for laboratory testing and further analysis on water quality. The well is sealed and the PRRD is awaiting sample results.
Once the results are received, Tetra Tech will complete the analysis with the final memo presented to the Electoral Area Directors Committee (EDAC) on March 26, 2026.
