An accident north of Fort Nelson has closed the Alaska Highway Tuesday morning.
The crash occurred at 4:43 am, about an hour north of Fort Nelson.
According to the RCMP, police responded to a report of a crash involving a propane tanker truck.
The highway had to be shut down in both directions because the truck was on fire.
There is no word yet on the driver’s condition. The highway will remain closed until the evening. The next update is at 6 pm.
