Pouce Coupe teen earns national leadership opportunity through Canadian Rangers program

A teenager from Pouce Coupe is being recognized for his leadership potential after taking part in a national training session put on by the Canadian Rangers program.

16 year old Cash Duprey, was invited to attend the Junior Canadian Ranger Enhanced Training Session. The Rangers is a challenging program for youth from remote communities across the county.

Participants travelled through several Canadian cities, including Vancouver, Kelowna and Winnipeg. They took part in programming ranging from volunteer work to physical training and mentorship opportunities.

The training gives young people the chance to build skills in leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving while also taking part in community service and outdoor activities.

Organizers say the goal is to help participants return home better prepared to contribute to their communities and take on leadership roles within the Junior Canadian Rangers.
