The mayor of Pouce Coupe is apologizing after what she calls, “an in-appropriate social media post.”
Danielle Veach took to Facebook to share the news about buying a new truck.
In her post, Veach named the truck ‘Ron Jeremy’ because she says, it’s ‘small and well equipped.”
Jeremy was an adult film star who was charged with more than 30 counts of sexual assault. His 21 alleged victims ranged in age from 15 to 51 years old.
There was pushback on social media, questioning how appropriate the post was.
Mayor Veach told CJDC TV News that she had no idea about Jeremy’s history. Veach said she was trying to be light hearted but realized after receiving feedback, she made a mistake.
Veach also said that she was not comfortable having Ron Jeremy in her Google search history.
Veetch has since renamed her new truck ‘Wilson’ so it never leave her stranded. That’s a reference to the volleyball in the Tom Hank’s movie, Castaway.
