POUCE COUPE, B.C. - The Pouce Coupe Fire Department is getting into the Halloween spirit with a pumpkin carving contest that offers a unique prize for one creative winner.
The department is inviting residents to show off their carving skills for a chance to win a private tour of the fire hall and a ride in a Pouce Coupe fire truck.
The contest encourages participants to create their best jack-o’-lantern designs, with the winning entry receiving an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the department’s operations, along with the opportunity to ride in one of the community’s fire trucks.
The initiative is aimed at bringing local families together during the Halloween season while helping strengthen connections between firefighters and the community they serve.
Residents interested in taking part are encouraged to watch the Pouce Coupe Fire Department’s social media channels for contest details, entry requirements and submission deadlines.
The Halloween-themed contest comes as communities across the Peace Region prepare for a variety of seasonal events leading up to October 31.
