POUCE COUPE, B.C.- Residents and visitors in Pouce Coupe now have access to an upgraded Village Office Park following the completion of the first phase of improvements to the community space.
The Village of Pouce Coupe announced Phase I of the project has been completed and the park is officially open to the public.
The municipality said the upgrades add new amenities to the park and represent an important step toward improving public spaces within the community.
Village officials said the project was completed without the use of municipal tax dollars, following direction from council.
Instead, the improvements were made possible through a combination of grants and donations from several organizations.
The Village acknowledged support from the Northern Development Initiative Trust, the Government of British Columbia through the Growing Communities Fund, the Northeast Regional Community Foundation, Enbridge, Peace River Regional District Electoral Area D and Pembina Pipeline Corporation.
While Phase I marks a milestone for the community, the Village says additional opportunities remain to further enhance the Office Park through a future second phase, as well as improvements to other parks in Pouce Coupe.
The Village also thanked the organizations and individuals whose support helped bring the project to completion.
