Officers from both the RCMP and the city’s new police service received reports of the shots at 101 Street and 107 Avenue, north of downtown, at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Police said a person shot several rounds of ammunition before driving away in a stolen Ford F-150 pickup truck, which they later found.

No injuries related to the fired shots have been reported.

Police ask anyone with dash camera footage or any video from the area from 6-7 p.m. or with any other information to contact RCMP at 780-830-5701 or to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 or through P3 Tips online.
