A Dawson Creek man is under investigation after a dramatic video showed a jet boat plunging nearly 30 feet over an Alberta waterfall.
The footage shows Dusty Friesen of Dawson Creek dropping with his boat over Lundbreck Falls, located just east of the B.C. border.
Many witnesses captured the moment as the vessel went over the edge of the roughly 29-foot drop and into the water below.
Friesen says the stunt was part of an effort to break the world record for the highest natural waterfall descent in a jet boat.
However, both the RCMP and conservation officers are now investigating the incident following the jump. Royal Canadian Mounted Police have not released further details about the probe.

Friesen says he does not believe he broke any laws, and maintains the attempt was done with a larger purpose in mind.
He also says he researched the Alberta Parks website ahead of time, checking for any restrictions in the Crowsnest River area to determine whether launching or running the falls was prohibited.
Friesen adds his goal is to eventually monetize stunts like this in order to help support conservation efforts.
No one was injured in the stunt, and the boat surprisingly stayed in good shape.
