After being shutdown for almost a year, the Boundary Lake Water Station is now opened again to residents, according to the Peace River Regional District (PRRD).
The Area B station, located on Cecil Lake Road, closed in August last year due to an equipment failure.
The PRRD says the quality of water was affected. Residents were able to access water from the Feye Spring Water station in the meantime.
The regional district now says the contaminated equipment was removed and a new treatment system was installed.
“Northern Health approved the water station’s reopening based on approved water samples for public safety and compliance,” says the PRRD.
The PRRD adds that residents can continue to get their water from the Feye Spring Water station if preferred.
