The spread of the measles in Northeast BC continues to slow, according to new numbers release by the BC Centre for Disease Control.

In an update, the BC CDC says there were eight new cases in BC since last week.

Of the new cases, only one has been reported in the last seven days in Northeast BC.

That brings the provincial total to 427 since the start of 2025. The 319 cases in Northeast BC account for 75 per cent of all cases in British Columbia.

The BC CDC says the measles continues to circulate in the North Peace and Dawson Creek areas.
