The Northern Lights College Rodeo Team has captured the 2025–26 Canadian College Rodeo Association Varsity Team Championship.
The title was secured at the Canadian College Finals Rodeo in Rimbey, Alberta, where NLC competed against six other college rodeo teams from B.C., Alberta, and Saskatchewan.
NLC led the varsity standings in seven of the nine regular-season rodeos leading up to the finals.
Several NLC athletes also earned individual championship titles. Ben Coombes won the bareback riding championship, Landon Dowling captured the steer wrestling title, and Nate Siemens was named tie-down roping champion while also earning High Point Cowboy of the Finals honours.
Other NLC athletes also picked up Reserve Champion honours during the weekend competition, including Dain Ross in steer wrestling, Rylie Bondaroff in breakaway roping, and Jordyn Farmer in pole bending.
Ryan Collett was also recognized with the CCRA Cowboy of the Year award.
