Northern Lights College rodeo team shines at Canadian College Finals

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The Northern Lights College’s Rodeo Team delivered a strong finish to the 2025 season at the Canadian College Rodeo Finals.

The team was led by standout performances from returning champion Rylie Bondaroff, who earned her second straight ‘High Point All Around Cowgirl’ title and the ‘Reserve Breakaway Champion’ title.

Rylie Dowling claimed the Breakaway Roping Championship and placed sixth/seventh in team roping. The team roping pair of Korbin Mills and Kagen Russell secured third place.

Wyatt Bondaroff placed third in steer wrestling, along with seventh in tie down roping and eighth/ninth overall in steer wrestling. Brock Everett added a seventh-place finish in steer wrestling.

The college said in a statement the results highlight the depth and talent of NLC’s nationally competitive rodeo program.
