Northern Lights College is hosting its annual Fall Rodeo this weekend, featuring seven teams from BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan.
The competition is the third stop on the Canadian Collegiate Rodeo Association’s 2025-26 circuit. Last year, Northern Lights rodeo team claimed the CCRA championship title.
The event gets underway with slack on Saturday at 11 am, followed by performances at 6 pm. On Sunday, there will be performances all day starting at 9 am.
Northern Lights is adding new faces to their roster. Presley Hipkins will make her debut in barrel racing, pole bending and team roping for the first time. Jorja Thomas is also joining the team after trying rodeo events on practice nights
The event takes place at the Lakota Agriplex in Dawson Creek, with tickets available on the Northern Lights College Rodeo Team’s Facebook page.
