Northern Health has announced the construction of the new Dawson Creek Hospital is ahead of schedule.
The health authority said on social media that most of the building is expected to be finish approximately two months before planned.
Northern Health announced substantial completion has been moved up to September 29, meaning it will officially take ownership of the building then.
Reaching that milestone brings the hospital closer to opening its doors. But before opening, Northern Health will perform training, simulations, equipment setup, and system testing.
Since construction is ahead of schedule, the hospital will open earlier, but no date has been provided.
