According to the BC Northern Real Estate Board, the average sale price of a home in Northern BC remained flat during the third quarter of 2025.
The board said the average sale price rose 0.1 percent from the previous quarter and remains just over $450,000.
However, the region is roughly 30 percent below what the board considers a healthy level of home inventory.
The BC Northern Real Estate Board reported that residential sales in Fort St. John reached more than 560 units in the first nine months of 2025. That is slightly above the 509 properties sold during the same period last year
The board noted the northern market is trending toward seller-market territory.
“The ongoing impact of tariffs has continued to affect many integral industries of the northern economy and may begin affecting sales activity moving into the final quarter of the year,” it said.
