FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. - Fort St. John RCMP are investigating after multiple shots were fired in a residential neighbourhood Tuesday night.
Police say they received a report of gunfire shortly before 9 p.m. on July 22 in the area of 112th Avenue and 108th Street.
Officers responding to the scene confirmed that multiple shots had been fired.
The investigation remains in its early stages, but RCMP believe the shooting was a targeted incident.
“Multiple Fort St. John RCMP units are on scene canvassing the neighbourhood,” said Constable Chad Neustater, media relations officer with the Fort St. John RCMP.
Police have not released information about any injuries, suspects, arrests or property damage.
“We are asking that if anyone has any doorbell cam or dashcam video of the area at the time or believe they saw anything suspicious that they contact the Fort St. John RCMP,” said Constable Chad Neustater.
Investigators continue to gather evidence and are urging anyone with information related to the incident to come forward.
Anyone with information, or who may have captured video from the area around the time of the shooting, is asked to contact the Fort St. John RCMP at 250-787-8100.
Police say their investigation is ongoing.
