BC Assessment has released market values of about 250,000 properties across North Central BC.
Most homeowners can expect the market to remain stable or increase heading into 2026.
The assessments reflect market values as of July 1, 2025. Most communities in the Peace Region are seeing positive changes in typical home values heading into 2026.

The District of Taylor saw the largest increase in typical home value among the Peace Region communities.
At $352,000, Fort St. John remains the highest-valued market in the region.
Meanwhile, Tumbler Ridge is the only community in the region to see a decrease in typical home value, down two per cent.
BC Assessment said higher assessments don’t automatically mean higher property taxes.
“As noted on your assessment notice, how your assessment changes relative to the average change in your community is what may affect your property taxes,” said BC Assessment Deputy Assessor Jarret Krantz.
The 2026 property assessment details can be accessed at bcassessment.ca, with updated notices being mailed out to each owner.
Property owners are encouraged to review their assessment and can file an appeal by February 2.
