RCMP say a man who went missing after leaving Fort Nelson two years ago, died as a result of foul play.
In February 2023, Jordan Nande left Fort Nelson with local associates, who traveled together to Kamloops. Nande was believed to have gone missing in March 2023, from Kamloops, his last known location.
In April of this year, CJDC TV News broke the news that Nande had been found deceased, after human remains were located in the Pendleton Creek area, in rural Kamloops. The area was searched and the skeletal remains were later confirmed to be those of Nande.
The Fort St. John RCMP took over the investigation into Nande’s disappearance. Mounties said at the time that they believed Nande was travelling to Kamloops. Police said he didn’t contact his family when he arrived.
Jordan’s family last spoke to him about three weeks prior to reporting him as missing, at which time he stated, he was in Kamloops. It’s possible he may have left the area soon after arriving.
Nande was 27 at the time of his disappearance and had ties to Fort Nelson and Fort St. John. He was wanted on an arrest warrant. Investigators said that they believed he was trying to evade police.
Staff Sergeant Jason Smart, with BC RCMP advises that “The Southeast District Major Crime Unit continues to investigate Nandi’s death and is requesting anyone with information about his disappearance and suspected homicide to contact the RCMP Southeast District MCU Information Line at 1-877-987-8477.”
