The Fort St. John RCMP is asking the public for any information on another case of vandalism in the city.
Mounties said Matthews Park was once again the target of graffiti on October 6.
What appeared to be the head of a cat and a mushroom was found painted inside a bathroom door.
The black and pink graffiti was reported on October 7, and police said no witnesses were identified.
The incident adds to a number of prior vandalism cases in Fort St. John over the years.
Bathrooms in Matthews Park were targeted twice in 2022. Many businesses, homes, and parks were also hit by graffiti last year.
The Treaty 8 building was also targeted by racist graffiti earlier this year.
The city has been integrating public art across Fort St. John to help deter vandalism.
It’s unclear whether these incidents are the act of a single group or are unrelated.
Anyone with information about the recent Matthews Park incident is asked to contact the Fort St. John RCMP at 250-787-8100.
