Mounties say they have arrested a suspect after a man was reported causing a disturbance at several locations in Grande Prairie.
Officers responded to reports of a man becoming aggressive and waving around what appeared to be a toy gun at Northwestern Polytechnic shortly after 1 p.m. Wednesday.
The same man was seen at several other locations across Grande Prairie, said police.
In a social media post Wednesday afternoon, the City of Grande Prairie said the museum and Ernie Radbourne Pavilion were on lockdown while RCMP responded to an “ongoing situation” in Muskoseepi Park.
CTV News Edmonton has reached out to confirm with the city if the two incidents were related.
RCMP say more details about the suspect will be released once charges are sworn in.
