DAWSON CREEK, B.C. - Community members are being invited to enjoy a free barbecue and learn about local outreach services as the Mamwentuh Housing Society hosts its annual Aboriginal Homeless Outreach Program BBQ, later this month.
The event is scheduled for Monday, August 24 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kin Park across from the Dawson Creek Public Library.
Everyone is welcome to attend and enjoy free food and beverages, enter a 50/50 raffle and take part in prize draws.
The barbecue is one of the organization’s yearly community outreach events and is designed to connect residents with information about available programs and services.
“We will also be officially rebranding and announcing our new name and unveiling our new logo. We will also be showcasing our outreach services and letting the public know what we do,” said Victor Giyani, executive director of Mamwentuh Housing Society.
