Jessie Freeman charged in connection with drive-by shooting in Dawson Creek

The last suspect in a drive-by shooting in Dawson Creek has been charged. Jessie Freeman is facing one count of occupying a vehicle knowingly with a weapon present.

A source told CJDC TV News that Freeman was arrested last week in Hythe, Alberta on outstanding warrants.

It’s been alleged that on January 17th, Freeman shot at police while fleeing the scene of drive-by shooting on 119th Avenue. Two other suspects were arrested near the scene.

In the past, Freeman has been found guilty of flight from police, two counts of breach of parole and two counts of breach of recognizance.

Freeman is currently facing unrelated charges of assault, assault by choking, unlawful confinement or imprisonment and theft over $5000.

In a 4-day span in Dawson Creek, there were two drive-by shootings, a shooting at a hotel and a murder. It is believed that all suspects have now been charged.
