Jordan Kealy, the independent MLA for Peace River North, is endorsing Kerry-Lynne Findlay in the BC Conservative leadership race.
Kealy announced the endorsement on social media, saying Findlay brings the experience, judgement, and steadiness needed to lead the BC Conservatives.
“She’s taken on tough fights, stood her ground, and earned the respect of people right across British Columbia. She understands what’s at stake and she knows how to carry it,” Kealy said.
Findlay is a former member of Parliament and served in Stephen Harper’s Conservative government.
On her campaign website, Findlay says she is running to keep the party conservative and defeat the NDP.

According to a social media post, Findlay plans to bring conservative-minded people together, including those who feel pushed out or unheard. “We are bringing conservatives home,” she said.
Kealy’s endorsement could play a key role. Kealy was a member of the BC Conservative Party under former leader John Rustad but stepped away from the party in March 2025, citing “weak leadership.”
Findlay says Kealy’s endorsement matters because he has taken a principled stand in the province, “choosing conviction over convenience, even when it meant walking away.”
Kealy says he will rejoin the BC Conservative Party if Findlay wins the leadership race, adding she is a unifying figure who can deliver results.
“When you factor in all of her experience, and when she says she is going to do something, you know she will do it,” Kealy explained.
