CJDC TV News has obtained video of a serious accident south of Pouce Coupe on Saturday.
The dashcam video was posted to Facebook by Skilled Truckers Canada. It shows a black pickup on Highway 2 heading northbound, attempting to pass a semi on a double yellow line.
A white SUV in the southbound lane can be seen trying to avoid the pickup, which veered on to shoulder, to avoid a collision. The pickup then returns to the highway, where it starts to fishtail. The pickup can then be seen slamming into a ditch and rolling over.
Two people were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. BC Highway Patrol in Dawson Creek have confirmed that both have since been released from hospital.
The highway was closed for a period of time while investigators were at the scene. While the investigation into the crash continues, police said they are considering charges.
CJDC TV News will be not releasing the name of the driver unless he is charged.
