The District of Hudson’s Hope says it has complete repairs to the town’s water system.

To complete the work, a section of homes on Beattie Drive was without water for a short period of time Thursday morning.

The district said it was able to narrow down the location of the leak after completing a series of shutoffs since Tuesday.

Officials said the leak worsened when valves were reopened after the last water shutdown on Wednesday.

The district had to isolate the area to prevent additional water loss, leaving 15 properties without water.

The other water outage planned for Thursday were cancelled.

The precautionary Boil Water Notice remains in effect until the required sampling confirms the water is safe to drink. An update will be provided on the district’s website and Facebook page when that time has come.

“Thank you for your patience while this repair was completed,” the district said.
