Hudson’s Hope Fire Department hold annual food drive Tuesday

Food, toiletries and pet food all accepted

HUDSON’S HOPE, B.C. - Residents in Hudson’s Hope are being asked to help stock local food shelves as the Hudson’s Hope Fire Department prepares for its annual community food drive on Tuesday evening.

Firefighters will travel through neighbourhoods door-to-door on November 3, collecting non-perishable food donations for residents in need.

Crews will be using fire trucks with emergency lights activated while making collections throughout the community.

Officials stress the lights are intended to make the vehicles visible and are not related to an emergency.

Organizers are encouraging residents who wish to donate to have food items ready at their front doors before firefighters arrive.

Requested donations include canned proteins, rice, pasta, soup, canned fruits and vegetables, along with other unexpired non-perishable food items.

The items will help support local families through community food assistance efforts.

The annual event is organized by the Hudson’s Hope Fire Department in partnership with Friends of Hudson’s Hope.
