The District of Hudson’s Hope has started investigating “a significant water leak” in its water system Tuesday morning.
To find the leak, the district started shutting off water to parts of the town. “This let’s staff separate sections of the system and narrow down where the leak is coming from,” officials said.
In addition to the shutoffs, the district is issuing a community-wide precautionary Boil Water Notice as of Tuesday at 1pm.
The advisory informs residents to boil water before using it to neutralize potential pathogens, in case parts of the water system loses pressure during the work.
