Motorists travelling on Highway 97 near Taylor can expect delays next week as maintenance crews carry out work on the North Taylor Hill.
David Rhodes with Dawson Road Maintenance says crews are scheduled to work on both northbound and southbound lanes on July 27, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The maintenance work will focus on collecting and removing winter sand and other accumulated material along northbound lane barriers.
Crews will also wash spillways, drainage systems and barriers, while inspections of drainage infrastructure will be conducted during the operation.
Rhodes says additional work, including temporary road patching and shoulder erosion repairs, may also be completed if needed.
Traffic control personnel will be on site throughout the project. Drivers should expect reduced speeds and minor delays while passing crews and equipment in the work zone.
The work is part of ongoing highway maintenance aimed at keeping drainage systems functioning properly and improving roadway conditions along the busy corridor north of Taylor.
Motorists are being asked to use caution and follow traffic control directions while travelling through the area on July 27.
