A crash involving a semi truck north of Fort Nelson that shut down part of the Alaska Highway overnight has now been cleared, with traffic moving again through the area.
Northern Rockies RCMP say the crash happened around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday at the 680-kilometre marker, when a semi truck’s trailer jackknifed and overturned while the cab remained upright.
No injuries were reported, and crews have been working to mitigate a fuel spill from the trailer.

The was closed overnight along Highway 97 for a stretch of road roughly 4.7 kilometres between the Stone Mountain Safaris Access Road and Muncho Lake Pit Road.
The crash happened about 230 kilometres north of Fort Nelson with no detour available at the time.
