Grande Prairie’s Great Northern Casino could soon have a new owner.
Indigenous Gaming Partners says its company, Pure Casino Entertainment, has entered an agreement to acquire Gamehost Incorporated.
Multiple sources report the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta has granted the final order approving the arrangement.
The deal would see Pure acquire all outstanding Gamehost shares for $13.65 per share in cash.
The transaction includes Great Northern Casino, Service Plus Inns & Suites, and Encore Suites by Service Plus in Grande Prairie.
If completed, the acquisition would add three casinos and three hotels to Pure’s Alberta portfolio, making the company Alberta’s largest casino operator.
The deal also includes a separate agreement with VICI Properties, which will acquire certain Gamehost real estate assets for $200.6 million.
