A 32-year-old Grande Prairie man is facing a long list of charges following multiple alleged incidents involving young females, including one from British Columbia.
In a news release Thursday, Grande Prairie RCMP said Joseph Kidd has been charged with numerous sexual offences stemming from several investigations between April and June 2026.
Police say the first investigation began on April 17 after a 14-year-old girl from B.C. reported an alleged sexual assault. Investigators say she met Kidd through social media, and he allegedly drove to B.C. to pick her up before taking her back to his home in Grande Prairie, where she remained for about a week before leaving.
As a result, Kidd was charged with several offences, including sexual assault, sexual interference and forcible confinement.

RCMP say further incidents followed.
On May 10, officers responded to a 911 call at Kidd’s residence and allege he assaulted an 18-year-old woman after bringing her back to Grande Prairie from Lloydminster. He was charged with additional offences, including assault, sexual assault and multiple counts of breaching release conditions.
Police allege that while released on bail, Kidd was also involved in incidents in June involving two other youth.
Investigators say a 15-year-old girl reported being followed and offered alcohol to get into Kidd’s vehicle. In one instance, she allegedly went to his residence, where a sexual assault occurred.
On the same day, RCMP received a report from the mother of a 12-year-old girl who said a man in a yellow convertible tried to lure her child into his vehicle. Officers later located Kidd and laid additional charges, including abduction of a person under 14.

Kidd is currently in custody and is scheduled to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Grande Prairie on July 2.
RCMP say investigators believe there may be more victims and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
If you want, I can tighten this into a 35–40 second VO or add a Northeast B.C. angle given one of the victims is from the region.
