A deadly incident disrupted the holiday season in northwestern Alberta.
On December 27, RCMP found two people were found dead on a rural road in Grande Prairie County.
Police responded to a report of a shooting and found 54-year-old David Lagace and 44-year-old Michelle Lagace deceased.
The RCMP Major Crime Unit carried the investigation and first issued a public alert warning the suspect may be armed and dangerous.
The suspect was located later that day near McLennan in Alberta.
Curtis Phillip Halladay was taken into custody and charged with two counts of second-degree murder.
The 42-year-old is scheduled to appear in Alberta Court of Justice on January 8.
