Two Fort St. John residents have launched a fundraiser in support of suicide prevention and awareness.

Justin and Brianne Lagassé are partnering with Autographics in Fort St. John on the initiative.

They plan to wrap a vehicle that will serve as a mobile billboard promoting suicide prevention and awareness.

“Our community has been impacted by tragic losses, and we aim to make a difference,” Lagassé said in a social media post.

The vehicle will be showcased at local events, including car shows and parades.

Lagassé said 100 per cent of the funds raised will go toward supporting community programs and initiatives.

“Our goal is to spread awareness and remind individuals

they’re not alone. We’re taking the first step towards creating change, and we invite you to join us,” he said.

Organizers have launched a GoFundMe for anyone who would like to donate.

The fundraiser was launched in the wake of the recent deaths of two local youths.
