RCMP in Fort St. John are investigating a murder, after they were called to the 9900-block of 99 Avenue Tuesday night.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found one person who was unresponsive. The victim was pronounced dead shortly after first responders attempted life saving measures.
The police are still gathering evidence, so the surrounding area will continue to be cordoned off. There is no timeline on when the area will be reopened to the public.
The Serious Crime Unit will be conducting the investigation. Since the investigation is still in an early stage, the police are not releasing more information at this time.
