Fort St. John RCMP investigate shots fired early Sunday morning

Mounties in Fort St. John are investigating reports of a shooting early Sunday. Police responded to a report of shots fired just before 2 am in the 11,000 block of 92nd Street.

When officers arrived at the scene they found a vehicle with apparent bullet holes. Police say they checked a nearby home and surrounding areas but found that nobody had been injured.

“Fortunately, no one injured during the shooting. It appears to be targeted at a residence known to police,” says Cpl. Brett Urano, RCMP spokesperson

Police do not believe there is any on going risk to the public. Fort St. John RCMP are continuing to investigate the shooting and request anyone who may have witnessed anything or anyone with dash camera footage in area between 1:00 A.M. and 2:00 A.M. to contact them at 250-787-8140.
