Fort St. John RCMP asking for public’s help in severe assault investigation

The Fort St. John RCMP are asking for the public’s help in investigating a severe assault in the city on September 1.

Mounties said the incident occurred at 2:40 pm near the intersection of 99th Avenue and 98Th street.

They said a single male victim was laying on a sidewalk with obvious facial injuries.

Since the assault happened in brought daylight, the RCMP are asking any passersby or drivers who witnessed the incident to come forward by calling 250-787-8100.

The man was transported to the Fort St. John hospital with serious injuries, and the investigation remains ongoing.
