Fort St. John police searching for suspects in break and enter, man wanted for assault

The Fort St. John RCMP are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect in a break and enter and to locate another man wanted for assault and other offences.

On September 22, just after 2 pm, police responded to a report of a male who had broken into an apartment near the Northern Lights College in Fort St. John.

Surveillance footage was obtained of the suspect, who is described as:

  • Caucasian male
  • Approximately 30-35 years old
  • Clean shaved
  • 5′ 9 to 5′ 11 tall (175 -180 cm)
  • Approximately 180 lb (81 kg)

The male was last seen wearing tan baggy pants, a dark hoody and a light baseball cap with a white logo. He is believed to have ties to the Prince George area.

The Fort St John RCMP is also requesting the public’s assistance in locating 46-year-old Chad Cameron Travis, who is wanted on warrants for assault, three counts of uttering threats, theft of a motor vehicle. Police believe he is armed and dangerous.

Chad Cameron Travis is described as:

  • Indigenous male
  • 6’ 1 (185 cm)
  • 172 lb (78 kg)
  • Salt and pepper hair
  • Salt and pepper moustache/beard
  • Brown eyes

Mounties said the public should not approach Travis, as he is believed to be armed.
