It’s one of the most anticipated weekends of the year in the Peace Region, as the Fort St. John International Airshow begins on Saturday.
The show returns to the North Peace Regional Airport after it was cancelled last year, due to the threat of wildfires.
The world-famous Canadian Snowbirds will be performing this year. The aerial demonstration team are known for their breathtaking precision and engaging displays.
The SkyHawks Military Parachute Team will also be performing over the weekend. They are made up of members from the Canadian Army, Navy and Force.
Sandi Miller, the Airshow Producer said, “To watch the kids as they are meeting the SkyHawks and meeting the Snowbirds, and really getting to see them for the first time, and being amazed by it, it was a gift that was given to me as a child.”

Gates open at 4pm on Saturday and the show will start at approximately 5:30pm. On Sunday the gates will open at 11am, with the show expected to get underway around 1pm.
Tickets are available at the gate for $40 or online for $35. Parking is available for $20 cash only for the day, with proceeds going to North Peace Search and Rescue. Parking is also available for free at the North Peace Arena with shuttles running to and from the airport.
