The Fort St. John Huskies and Dawson Creek Kodiaks will both be looking for their first victories of the young North West Junior Hockey League season after difficult starts on the road.
On Friday, Fort St. John earned its first point of the season 4-3 overtime loss to Fairview. The Huskies followed that up with a 9-2 loss to the Grande Prairie Wheat Kings on Saturday.
Dawson Creek began its season against La Crete, falling 16-0 on Saturday before dropping Sunday’s rematch 7-1.
After four losses in four games, the Huskies sit third in the NWJHL’s North Division with one point.
The Kodiaks are fourth in the division and remain in search of their first point of the season after their two losses this weekend.
Fort St. John’s next action comes on October 3 when the club travels to Slave Lake to face the Wolves, with a second game between the teams scheduled for October 4.
The Kodiaks return to the ice October 2 against the Fairview Flyers before visiting the Beaverlodge Blades on October 4.
