All the rain was welcome news this weekend for firefighters in Northeast BC, but a Flood Warning has been issued by the BC River Forecast Centre for the Beatton River.
The river forecast centre is warning the public to stay clear of the river. The warning was issued for an area of the Beatton River, northwest of Fort St. John.
In issuing the warning the province said that fast-flowing bodies of water are a risk to life and safety. S flood warning is issued when river levels have exceeded or will exceed the riverbank soon.
So far there has been no reports of any major flooding in the Peace Region after three days of rain.
