The City of Fort St. John successfully completed emergency repairs to the Feeder Water Main over the weekend.
The city began work last Thursday on the feeder main that supplies water from city wells near the Peace River.
City officials said a section of the main needed to be replaced due to a leak in the pipe. Crews confirmed the leak was repaired on Saturday.
Officials say the Bulk Water Dispensing Stations reopened Monday morning after reservoirs were refilled.
“Thank you, Fort St. John! Your water conservation efforts allowed us to complete repairs to the Feeder Water Main without requiring additional water restrictions,” the city said in a social media post.
