Environment Canada issues wind warning for BC Peace Region and Fort Nelson area

Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for the BC Peace Region and the Fort Nelson area.

Temperatures are expected to reach 13 degrees on Wednesday. Warm winter temperatures often bring elevated wind speeds to the Northeast.

Southwest winds gusting to 90 km/h are expected this afternoon. The weather agency says strong gusty winds are expected to develop in the wake of a low-pressure system passing through the region Wednesday.

With wind gusts of up to 90 km/h expected, Environment Canada says driving conditions will likely be difficult. High-sided vehicles will be pushed around by the wind.
