The Emergency Department at the Tumbler Ridge Health Centre was on-diversion for part of morning on Tuesday.
Northern Health announced on social media that the diversion was supposed to start at 8:00am and last until 7pm.
However, the health authority then announced the Emergency Room was back open at noon.
Northern Health once again said that staffing shortages were blame for the closure.
Back in September, the Tumbler Ridge Health Centre’s Emergency Room on-call services, were cut back because on the on-going doctor shortage in Northeast BC.
