Police in Fort St. John have completed a drug trafficking investigation after searching a residence at the Peace Country Mobile Home Park.

The RCMP said the residence is well known to police. “It has generated multiple calls for service over the past year,” police said.

The search resulted in eight individuals being arrested.

Police said they seized a loaded pistol, drugs, and money. They also found thousands of dollars worth of tools allegedly stolen.

“The tools are believed to have been stolen from the Fort St John area and officers are attempting to identify the owners,” the RCMP said.

Mounties said a female suspect was held in custody due to breaching her court conditions.

They added that the other suspects were released pending the completion of the investigation.

At the end of October, a man was arrested after shots were fired at the Peace Country Mobile Home Park.

That incident was one of three shootings in less than seven days in Fort St. John.
