The results of the election are in and a new Chief and Council have been elected by members of the Doig River First Nation.
Former councillor Justin Davis has been elected as the First Nation’s new Chief. He replaces Trevor Makadahay who did not seek re-election.
Brittney Robertson was re-elected to her fourth term on council. She is joined by Starr Acko, who is beginning her third term.
Newcomer Korbin Davis was elected as the fourth member on council. Davis has been the First Nation’s Public Works Manager for the past 15 years.
The results of the election have been certified by the Electoral Officer. The term for council members of Doig River is for two years.
