TAYLOR, B.C. - The District of Taylor is encouraging residents to donate gently used or new winter clothing as part of its annual Coats for Kids program, aimed at helping community members stay warm during the colder months.
Residents are being asked to contribute winter clothing and outdoor gear in good condition, including coats and other cold-weather apparel.
The district says all donated items will be professionally cleaned before being redistributed through the program. Clothing will be available free of charge to anyone who needs it, with no registration or payment required.
Items will be available for pickup starting October 1 at the District Ice Centre, where donated clothing will be displayed for community members to browse and take as needed.
The campaign highlights the community-focused effort to ensure families and individuals have access to warm winter clothing as temperatures begin to drop across Northeast B.C.
The District of Taylor says donations can be dropped off at the Community Services Hub Monday through Friday during regular operating hours beginning September 1.
